Edinburgh RSL Residents Network has had links with Edinburgh Tenants Federation (ETF) since 2007.
Since April 2015 ERSLRN has been an independent, fully constituted group in it’s own right with the aim of supporting Tenants and Residents of Registered Social Landlords (Housing Association) across Edinburgh to provide information and raise awareness of matters affecting their housing and the services their Landlords supply and to encourage them to engage more with their landlords across a wide range of issues.
Our overall purpose is to inform and empower Tenants and Residents of Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), and to encourage RSLs to engage more effectively with them throughout Edinburgh.
Vision, Ethos and Values
ERSLRN aims to engage, enable, empower and encourage Tenants and Residents of RSL’s within the City of Edinburgh to take an active role in matters concerning their housing, services and local environments. We are committed to promoting equal opportunities, developing clear and effective communication and promoting effective participation.
Funding, Resources and Support
To support these activities, the network needs financial, practical and developmental support.
The actual resources which the network attracts will have an impact on the level of activities outlined in the Business Plan, are based on a relatively low level of funding and a substantial amount of voluntary commitment by network members initially.
In the longer-term the network will be seeking to increase their activities but this will depend on being able to attract increased levels of funding which would enable them, for example, to employ a part-time development worker to take some of the direct delivery forward.
